Updates for the week of August 9 - 13!

Monday starts another fabulous week here at Melcher, the skies are partly cloudy and the temperature is undoubtly high. 

• This week's updates feature a new look for the blog!!!  Included in the new look are a few additions and two or three subtractions.  We now have a link to a google doc of our in-house events as well as the already existing link to the staff schedule.  The statistics box has disappeared since Carolyn and I are able to track stats using our reference sheets pretty well. 
• I am waiting on our monthly statistics to see how well we are doing in terms of circulation and laptop usage.  As soon as those come in I will share the information with everyone.
• As a staff we are working on familiarization of HPL policies and procedures.  There are two notebooks floating around the branch with policies & procedures for Technical Services, Administration, and H.R.  Please take the time to read, date, and intial each page.  Right now Eva is leading the staff with most pages read, followed by Carolyn.
• Items we can concentrate on this week include:
•  Preparing Event Registration to have events pulled for our montly flyer.
• Serials check-in (Mike did a great job with organizing & updating the magazine section, thanks!)
• Disposal of materials to be recycled
• Booksale
• I will be out Friday with a manager's meeting in the morning and a manager training in the afternoon.  Please have an enjoyable weekend!
